GL brides 2019: Part one

With all that is happening in the world right now, I've been thinking about writing a few new posts. Not only, if you're like me, you're on your phone/tablet/laptop way more often, it's nice to read something new. But also if you're a 2020 spring or summer bride who has had to postpone your wedding- this is a post to remind you that your day WILL come, and it'll be so special.
I've put together a few of my brides who came to me to alter their dresses, as it was a busy year for bridal alterations in summer 2019! I haven't got round to counting how many brides I had the pleasure of working with last year, so I have created a selection below from professional photos I have and been sent, so enjoy!

Thank you again to all my lovely brides for sending me your wedding photos along with such kind reviews, it means the world.

Let's begin...

LOUISE. A summer 2019 bride, with a tipi wedding and a Rembo styling dress from Alexandra Anne. Louise came to me wanting matching lace cap sleeves, which were created and they look so nice! I love the design we came up with. The hem was also shortened, bodice lifted.

RUTH - October 2019 bride, Ruth came to me with a strapless dress and additional lace jacket. Hem shortened, tweaks on the lace jacket/bodice area to make the fit perfect! And bustle added to hitch the train up for the evening. I loved receiving these photos, Ruth looks amazing!

ANNABELLE. April 2019 bride. Annabelle came to GL with the most gorgeous two piece needing some tweaks to make it perfect! I added pleats to the back of the top, to take it in without spoiling the design, shortened hem on the 3D floral skirt!, and a bustle for the evening. Charlie Brear top and skirt from Alexandra Anne. AMY- A May 2019 bride. When Amy mentioned her and her partner were getting married at Calke Abbey's Riding School, I couldn't wait to see her photos! To make her dress perfect, we shortened the hem and made a tweak to the bodice to achieve that perfect fit.

JOSIE - An early 2019 bride. One of my very first fittings this year was with Josie, we had a consultation to discuss any ideas Josie had to turn her dress into a bardot style. I love this style and Josie looks fab, a bespoke adjustment can be small or large but can make such a difference to feeling how you'd always imagined on your big day. Alterations also made were taking in bodice.

HOLLY - Another Spring bride! If I remember correctly, Holly picked I reckon the BEST weekend for weather as we had such hot sunny days over Easter. Holly was super pleased and couldn't even believe her dress had even been touched for alterations! (Just what I like to hear!).

I'll be splitting these posts up, so keep tuned for part two of some of my 2019 brides.

They all look amazing! And I'm sure all celebrating their first year wedding anniversary. To all you 2020 brides- you've got SO much to look forward to.

Gina xx
